How to Make Cold Brew Coffee

We recommend using spring water when brewing your Cold Brew Coffee as this will render the best cup of coffee.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Glass Pitcher/Large Mason Jar

  • Whole Bean Coffee, or French Press Ground if pre-ground
  • Filtered water
  • Grinder
  • Cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer
  • Ratio of 1:15 to 1:17 coffee-to-water based on desired strength
  1. Freshly grind your coffee beans before brewing and grind the coffee very coarse (like breadcrumbs)
  2. Combine the freshly ground coffee and water in your chosen brewing container. Stir the grounds in water to ensure they are fully saturated.
  3. Steep the coffee overnight with a lid or covered to protect it from dust/bugs. The coffee should brew for about 12 hours on the counter or in the refrigerator.
  4. Strain the coffee through a strainer of your choice into a different container/jar/pitcher.
  5. Serve over ice (and/or with milk) and enjoy! Cold Brew can be stored into the fridge for up to a week.
