How to Make Coffee on a Drip Coffee Maker - How to Make a Coffee Pot

We recommend using spring water when brewing your coffee with your drip coffee maker as this will render the best cup of coffee.

For a balanced cup of coffee, use two level tablespoons of medium-fine ground coffee for each six ounces of water. Adjust to your taste and don't trust the measurements markings on your drip coffee maker as they are often wrong. Some coffees are naturally weaker than others.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Drip Coffee Pot
  • Coffee filter
  • Quality Grinder
  •  Freshly roasted coffee
  • Filtered water
  • Scale
  • Ratio: Depending on how many cups you want, shoot for a 1:16 coffee-to-water ratio.

  1. Fill your coffee maker with spring water to the desired amount of coffee you would like to make (These directions are for a full pot).
  2. Insert a coffee filter into the top of your coffee maker.
  3. Grind 16 tablespoons of coffee into the coffee filter.
  4. Ensure the coffee pot is placed under the coffee machine and press the button to begin brewing!

Notes:

Coffee can be kept warm on a burner for only 20 minutes before the flavor becomes bitter. We recommend that you only brew your coffee 5 minutes before you are ready to drink.
