The Sweet Potato Latte is rich, creamy, and naturally sweet, blending roasted sweet potato with maple syrup, warm spices, and bold espresso. It’s a nutrient-packed, comforting coffee drink that’s as cozy as it is flavorful, perfect for crisp mornings or a seasonal afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup cooked sweet potato (or unsweetened sweet potato purée)

  • ⅔ cup oat milk (or milk of choice)

  • Double shot espresso (or ⅓ cup strong brewed coffee) - best with Colombian Supremo (nutty overtones, rich body) or Costa Rica Original (silky flavor, almost buttery taste)

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Cook and mash the sweet potato until smooth, or use unsweetened canned purée.

  2. In a small pot, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.

  3. Stir in the mashed sweet potato, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Whisk or blend until smooth and frothy.

  4. Brew a double shot of espresso or prepare strong coffee. Pour it into a mug.

  5. Slowly pour the sweet potato milk mixture over the coffee and stir gently to combine.
