Access to clean water is now a reality for thousands of people in Malawi — and it’s all thanks to you.

Because of your purchases, Volcanica Coffee’s donation to charity: water helped fund two wells with hand pumps, bringing clean, safe water to families who have waited their entire lives for this moment.

Your contribution was part of the $2,200,000 granted to Water for People (WFP) Malawi, which ultimately funded 263 water projects and served 68,209 people in total.

Our local partner, Water for People Malawi, has been instrumental in turning your generosity into action. Thanks to their efforts, women like Margaret are now experiencing new freedoms that were once unimaginable.

Before having a piped system in her community, Margaret’s only water source was at the foot of a mountain, far from her home.

“I recall walking for more than an hour in search of water,” Margaret shared.

Now, those long walks are behind her.

“We now have safe water within our villages,” she said. “We have taps everywhere. And this water has brought freedom to us women, as we can now do other income-generating activities. We are so happy.”
