Transport your senses to a cozy Viennese café with this chilled take on the classic Einspänner Latte—a bold espresso layered with velvety whipped cream and the perfect hint of sweetness. It’s a luxurious coffee experience you can create at home, where creamy indulgence meets iced refreshment in every elegant sip.

Ingredients:

  • Double shot of espresso
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (optional, or adjust to taste) or Monin vanilla syrup
  • 2/3 cup oat milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream, well chilled
  • Ice
  • (Optional) cocoa powder

Instructions:

  1. Brew a double shot of espresso and, while hot, stir in brown sugar if using. Let it cool slightly for 1–2 minutes.
  2. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream with a splash of milk until soft peaks form.
  3. In a glass, add ice cubes and cold milk.
  4. Pour the espresso over the ice.
  5. Gently float the whipped cream on top of the iced coffee. The goal is to have two distinct layers: dark coffee on the bottom and fluffy cream on top.
  6. Sprinkle with a dusting of cocoa powder if desired. Serve with a straw or small spoon.
