This Drip Pot is referred to as a Chorreador in Costa Rica and has been around for over 200 years. The cloth filter creates more flow restriction than paper filters, making for a slower draw down and a coffee that is clean and balanced. This product was designed by Hario and made in Japan.
We like using the Chorreador for coffees that have a heavier body, like a Sumatra or Costa Rica. If you're brewing an African coffee, we prefer a washed coffee if we're using this method. If you have a natural process coffee, try the Hario V60.
The cloth filter is eco-friendly and creates more flow restriction than paper filters. This allows for a slower draw down and a coffee that is clean and balanced. This is a great way to get into pour-over coffee.
