Malawi Coffee

The Malawi Coffee or Malawi Mapanga "AA" Coffee, has characteristics similar to other coffees from East Africa, and can be described as smooth and full-bodied. This is a grade AA Plus Arabica coffee originating from Malawi's Bebe's Cooperative. Producers who are a part of this cooperative are primarily located in the northern districts of Malawi. Malawi is a small country whose borders meander to the north and south between Mozambique and Zambia in southeastern Africa. The slow maturity at an elevation of over 6,500 feet gives it a unique profile with the beans having a creamy body with less acidity than other coffees from neighboring countries. Malawi Coffee is minimally produced.
